Aqualand Camp Resort
Sister Bay, WI
It appears as if Aqualand Camp Resort used to be a land of water. There is one fairly nice spring-fed(?) pond with trout, a second one that has barely enough water to keep the fish going, and remnants of several other ponds downstream from them. This series of ponds must have been beautiful when they were fully flowing with water. Trout fishing is available for $4 per fish. Not a bad price for some nice looking, medium-sized trout. And with the cold water they're quite tasty! They do have a rule that any fish you catch you have to keep--no throwing back and trying again.
The rest of Aqualand Camp Resort is nicely wooded with a few open sites. However, their sites seem to be primarily seasonal, so if you're just pulling in for a night or two you might be out of luck. The camp office was closed and their sign indicated very limited hours of operation. A peek inside indicated they probably have the bare minimum in supplies if you run out of something in camp. The pool is very nice with a fenced in patio area next to the fenced in pool. The playset is the old metal variety. Aqualand Camp Resort is also fairly close to both Ephraim and Sister Bay, although just a bit too far to walk. It's 2 miles east of Ephraim, and 2 miles south of Sister Bay. This puts it in a great place to enjoy both towns... both great places in their own right in Door County.

Stuff To Do in Sister Bay, WI
Sister Bay Tourism has a nice website with plenty of info on stuff to do in and around Sister Bay, Wisconsin. Wistravel.com is a good beginning resource for things to do in Sister Bay, also.Of course the famous place to eat in Sister Bay is Al Johnson's restaurant. They have some interesting traditional Swedish fare, as well as a cute gift shop. If you're lucky you'll get to see the goats up on the grass roof. Unfortunately, when driving past a couple years ago I witness the secret to keeping the grass trimmed on the roof... and it wasn't the goats! I was so disappointed. No ,not really. Just thought it was too funny to see a lawn mower up there for once. The festivals in Sister Bay are the Blossom Festival (early May), The Fall Festival (mid October), and Capture the Spirit (late November). They also have concerts in the park every Wednesday at 3pm in the Village Park. Pirate's Cove Miniature Golf is someplace we have to go almost every time we make a trip to Door County. Then, when you're done with the golfing you can go next door to the go-kart track. It's just south of Sister Bay.
