Campground Owner?

(or, don't go away mad....)

My intent with launching this website was to offer an honest review of campgrounds to campers. Being a lifelong camper myself I know how frustrated and disappointed I've been when I get to a campground and things aren't what has been advertised.

I have genuinely tried to offer good and bad points about all the campgrounds of Door County, and not just bad points for the ones that really stink. Even the "bad" campgrounds are run by real people with families and have probably invested much time in developing their businesses.

We have friends that own a campground (Tunnel Trail Campground on the Elroy Sparta trail) and are well aware of the incredible sweat equity that can go into building a campground over the years. I completely respect that.

But, as a consumer of the "camping experience", I also have a right to express my opinion about the condition of a particular campground. And I anticipate a lot of other campers are hungry for this kind of information. I also will not take any kind of compensation (eg. offers for "free" camping) in order to sway my reviews.

I am also open to posting rebuttals and opinions of owners and campers alike. I look forward to hearing from you all.
