Door County campgrounds are some of the most beautiful and relaxing places in Door County, Wisconsin. Camping is one of the greatest ways to spend some quality family time away from the TV and game station.
Getting out to enjoy Door County campgrounds is definitely time well spent. Especially at our great state parks: Peninsula, Potowatomi, and Newport.
Even if you're not into a lot of outdoor activity, just lounging around your campsite to enjoy the quiet can be incredibly soothing. Grab a hammock and a good book to while away the hours. Heck, maybe even a cold brewsky-- this is Wisconsin, ya know ;).
Door County campgrounds are a great way to spend vacation time in this magnificent peninsula. And you don't even need a tent or camper to enjoy this pasttime. Many of the campgrounds have cabins or yurts for rent. Wagontrail and Tranquil Timbers have some of the nicest (if you have a different opinion, we'd love to hear about it!)

Frontier Wilderness Campground

Lynch's Bluff Campground

Newport State Park
Newport State Park, 475 County Hwy NP, Ellison Bay, WI. Great hiking and cross country ski trails. A nice beach, too.
Path of Pines
Path of Pines, 3709 Hwy F, Fish Creek, WI. Almost walking distance to Fish Creek.
Peninsula State Park
Peninsula State Park, 9462 Shore Road, Fish Creek, WI. This is the gem of Door County. In my opinion it's the best state park in Wisconsin!
Quietwoods South, Brussels, WI
Quietwoods South, 9245 Lovers Lane, Brussels, WI. A cozy family feeling here. Many seasonal sites.
Tranquil Timbers RV Resort
Tranquil Timbers RV Resort, 3668 Grondin Rd., Sturgeon Bay, WI. Just south of Sturgeon Bay and very close to Potowatomi State Park. Nice pools, camp store, WiFi throughout camp.
Washington Island Camping Retreat

Wagon Trail Campground
