Frontier Wilderness Campground

The many seasonal campers at Frontier Wilderness Campground have a very nice wooded area. However, it seems like most of the daily campsites are concentrated in the open areas with little shade.

The indoor pool is unique. I can see that it would be very attractive to go swimming when the weather is cooler. And you're not out in the blazing sun when it's really hot.

Overall it seems like the facilities have some years on them. But, it's evident that an effort is being made to maintain the older buildings. There's a nice newer-looking volleyball court to the side of the activity center.

The playground that's closest to the office looks enticing to play on, but the exposed chains seem a bit rusty. I would also be concerned about splintering from the wood. But, there's a nice covered picnic area right next to the playground to set up snack time, or stay in the shade while the kids play.

There's a bit nicer playground toward the middle of the campground. And a very nice, larger covered pavilion next to it.

A couple of camping cabins are for rent toward the far end of the campground that seem fairly decent. However, they seem kind of "scrunched in" next to the other sites.

Also, internet access may be available, but a sign in the activity center has a fee scale for it's usage. Apparently there's no free WiFi at this time.
