Harbour Village Resort

Sturgeon Bay, WI

is the one place in Door County that has a big water slide park. From a distance (like the aerial pictures) it looks very enticing. Overall it's a fairly nice place to hang out for a day. There's a fee for the water park if you are not camping or RVing there.

When you first approach the campground you'll encounter a gated access road. Not sure why they have the gate-- maybe to make it appear more up-scale.

At the office you can discover that there are "ownership/timeshare rules." Certain sites are like condos. The "condo" sites are near the pool and water slide, and they are owned by a condo owner, much like in real estate you can buy a condo, They have sites that you can rent on a daily basis, but many are out in the open with no trees and fairly close to the road (Hwy 42).

The "undivided" interest is more like a timeshare, with a number of owners who own these sets of sites as timeshare owners.

There are sites that are open to the public almost all the time, as well as "seasonal" sites which are all very nice and wooded, and have certain rights and privileges like the condo sites.

The other activities you can find at Harbour Village Resort are tennis courts, horseshoe pits, miniature golf, volleyball courts, and basketball court. The main camp store is nicely stocked with the essentials.
