Tranquil Timbers RV Resort

Just south of Potawotomi State Park is Tranquil Timbers RV Resort. Signage from highway 42 is fairly easy to follow to get you to Grondin Road. Once there you'll find gated access to the campground.

Tranquil Timbers doesn't feel like a big campground because of all the trees throughout the park. But, once you drive around a bit you can see how extensive it is. And right in the middle is a great swimming pool (2, actually) and camp store.

Right next to the pool and camp store is the game room building. Unfortunately the roof isn't insulated very well and during a normal summer day it was extremely warm. Hot enough not to be able to spend much time there in the middle of the day.

But, fear not, there's a great outdoor playground right next door. There's both older and very new play equipment to hang out on. Very enticing for the kids.

Tranquil Timbers has some very nice little cabins and yurts for rent. They're a bit tight together, but of very nice quality.

If you're of the type to drag your wireless laptop along on a camping trip, then you'll feel lucky here. They have wireless internet set up throughout the camp. No need to walk all the way to the front office to get in a hot spot.

Overall Tranquil Timbers is well equipped for everything from tent camping to seasonal RV camping. A very well maintained facility that's right next door to the trails and boat launches at Potowatomi State Park.
