Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp

by Jennii
(Minneapolis, MN)

My family visited the Jellystone Camp several times when I was younger. My family did a lot of camping back then, and Jellystone was a refreshing campground for a kid, as there were many things to do. Jellystone had really great and friendly staff that were pleasant and happy to be working with the large numbers of families with children at the camp. As a visitor, you could bring a tent or RV, or rent one of the many cabins also available at Jellystone.

As a kid, the best parts about Jellystone were the multiple pools and a playground. They had mini-golf, and free recreation equipment for all of the camp visitors. There was a theater where costumed characters would put on shows, and an arcade and snack bar as well.

We spent several summers in a row visiting family in Door County, and being able to stay at Jellystone was a nice treat. There are lots of things for everyone in the family to enjoy and plenty of things to keep kids entertained. As I grew into my late teens and my younger sisters were in Girl Scouts, we even took the troops out to Jellystone on vacation for a camping experience. It was fun for everyone and we had a great time.
